Lava the Red

Danish Freehand Pipe

$235.00

The Lava line of pipes was one of the first designs Dag Eber made.  It was inspired by one particular pipe of Erik Nørding back in the 1990's that struck him and this gave Dag the idea to take it further and make a flowing lava look, creating a line of pipes in Red, Blonde and Walnut with a rustication texture that resembled cooled lava.  Eber still hand makes this pipe today.  Color - Red.  Acrylic stem.

Erik Nørding was; of course, one of Dag's great pipe maker examples of the day, along with Tom Eltang, Anne Julie (who's family name of Rasumssen is shared by Dag's grandmother), Poul Winslow and many others.  Eber fondly considers Erik Nording one of his uncles of pipe-craft. So, the Lava pipe line remains to this day a special tribute pipe to Erik Nørding himself -- one of Denmark's most prolific pipe makers, producing about 20,000 - 25,000 pipes per year in his impressive factory near Copenhagen .
